Attendance

Children need to be at school to learn effectively.

Please ensure that children arrive promptly each day. The school day begins at 8:45am. Pupils who arrive later than this will be marked in as late.
The school should always be informed of the reason that a child is absent from school by 9:30am. This may be in writing or by telephone. Parents whose child is absent with no explanation, will receive a text message asking for them to contact the school with a reason for the absence. Persistent absences and/or lateness will be reported to the attendance officer.

All family holidays should be taken during the school holidays. The Government legislation states that from 01.09.2013 “Headteachers may not grant any leave of absence during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances. Headteachers should determine the number of school days a child can be away from school if the leave is granted”.

All absences for religious observance must be applied for as leave in exceptional circumstances to the Headteacher beforehand.  Please note only 1 day will be authorised.

Our Schools

Synergy Multi-Academy Trust comprises fifteen Norfolk schools serving children between the ages of 2 and 18. Our schools work collaboratively together to raise standards and provide education of the highest possible standard, offering the best of opportunities for pupils. The Trust was initially established in 2015. We believe that all of our schools have strengths and areas to develop, and that all can improve through sharing expertise and wisdom. The Trust understands that there will be excellent practice in each school, and that every school will be able to contribute to the development of the Trust as a whole.
